The General Assembly of the Golf Course Association, z.s. (AGH), took place on November 28, 2024, with the participation of nearly all members (27 out of 32). The main agenda item was the election of new leadership for the association, as the term of the outgoing AGH president, Mr. Petr Šikoš, was coming to an end. The original presidium members also made their positions available.

The General Assembly subsequently elected Mr. Tomáš Raška, Managing Director of Prague City Golf—which includes the Zbraslav, Vinoř, and Rohan golf facilities - as the new president, with the support of 89% of attending members. His core vision for the meaningful future operation of the association includes strengthening regional ties and incorporating feedback from local regions. He also sees value in expanding the membership base to include additional golf facilities such as smaller golf courses and driving ranges. Together with the newly elected presidium, he intends to focus on issues related to golf infrastructure operators from a legislative perspective, support and synergy in business and marketing activities, and last but not least, on building mutually positive, respectful, and partnership-based relationships with the Czech Golf Federation.

The AGH presidium also saw new appointments and will now be represented by seven members based on regions. Prague and Central Bohemia are represented by President Tomáš Raška of Prague City Golf; South Bohemia by Jan Fidler from Golf Resort Čertovo Břemeno; North Bohemia by Martin Šíma from Ypsilon Golf Resort Liberec; East Bohemia by Karolína Benáková from Park Golf Hradec Králové; West Bohemia by Martin Mňahončák from Golf Club Kynžvart; South Moravia by Karolína Jakubcová from Golf & Ski Resort Kořenec; and North Moravia and Silesia by Jan Kastner from Golf Resort Čeladná.

The AGH Secretariat remains unchanged, with current secretaries Radek Srb and Lívia Bilincová continuing to oversee operational matters and the day-to-day functioning of the association.

Before the end of this year, the new AGH leadership will hold a joint meeting to prepare the organization’s activity plan for the first quarter of 2025. The goal is to promptly develop a new program, budget, and statutes that will reflect AGH’s direction and activities aimed at supporting and defending the interests of its members - operators and owners of golf courses and facilities in the Czech Republic.
